The Pharisee and the Tax Collector

LZ Granderson: We're all looking to something to justify our existence. He says the heart of the gospel is not doing lots of good things, but what makes you right with God. LZ: The problem for this Pharisee was that he was trusting in them and that can never give him a sense of justification. If you say to God or if you say to yourself "let me look at other people," your soul will always be busy trying to find reasons why it's OK to do great things.
