The MAGA Movement and the Republican Party's View of January 6

The MAGA movement has taken January 6 and turned it into sort of a holy day where America was being saved by a bunch of freedom loving patriots. But after that, you started seeing these arrests of people who were in the Capitol that day occur. They view this as part and parcel of the narrative that the state is out to get Donald Trump. And when Trump got arrested, he very smartly, if you're thinking in a strategic level, married his legal woes with the tangible feeling happening around January 6.
