John Avlon is the author of a new book, How America in the World Police the Atom from Hiroshima to Vietnam. Avlon: I started my PhD program in 2006 in the wake and the sort of continuing ramifications of the American War of Choice in Iraq. He says he was able to take advantage of the proximity of the University of Texas at Austin of the Lyndon B. B. Johnson Presidential Library and Archive.Avlon: The nuclear non-proliferation treaty was negotiated almost and not entirely, but close to entirely by the United States.
