The Te Iron Law of Oligarchy a Michel's
The iron law of oligarchy is the idea that all institutions, regardless of how committed they are to democracy, eventually get run by a handful of people. In any organization, someone has to be in charge of various administrative functions. When you're in charge of ministrative functions, you get access to information that other people do not have. And so there's nothing pernicious or sinister inherently into the idea of the iron law oligarchy. It's just the way human self, sort on, given human nature.
