The Social Status of Cricket in Ireland
Cricket in Ireland seems to be much more of a niche sport. What's your perspective on that as the captain of the Irish team now? How do you think it's received more broadly in a social sense across the country? When I started playing for Pembroke and in the men's teams, you didn't really venture too far out of Dublin. But now if you look at the Lancer leagues, there's teams in Wexford, Waterford, Tipperary,. Wicklow, Carlo, all over the country now. So I have seen a massive change in that. It makes me pretty proud as a Irish crickler.
