Peter Hart was part of the 11th armoured division as a whole. The men often talked about people being dead long before the time and what they mean by that is they're mate. What they would do though is when they went to British Legion or the Regimental Association Annual meetings you could talk to each other but a lot of the time they didn't talk about that still. Peter: "I think we shouldn't forget them, well I hope my book plays a small part"
