Marketing definitely should be there across the entire customer lifecycle. Sales could be doing business development. There especially if they are knowledgeable, like industry experts,. That would be a great place for them to spend time. Instead of cold calling, sending emales, doing demos to people that don't want to buy. Would be a way better use of their time.
