The FCC essentially outlawed exclusive service agreements between landlords and internet service providers in 2008. The waterline bureau issued a notice or a public notice asking to kind of refresh the record on what kind of effects these types of agreements were having. And this was really important because it centered around how service could be potentially limited to dozens if not hundreds of people depending on the size of a building.
