Joshua Garlic was forced to post a bond of 30 pounds for his wife and his wife's good behavior. The Garlics were told that they must appear before the local court in East Hampton in September or October if they were to continue to live on Long Island. According to genealogical records, Folk Davis had a history of robbing his neighbors the wrong way. His name appears in at least three different legal and property disputes.
