"I'm not sure that thing isn't aware. Maybe that thing is aware," he says of a single cell locramarium. "But, i don't want to draw a conclusion about these plants here based on a micro organism that's just not really well known." He asks if you are open to the possibility that this single cell,. when it haunts, has a rudimentary awareness in order to account for its behavior, then my question is, why, a priori, are you willing to then reject offhand that the plants have a rudimentary form of awareness?
