The Anarchy and the Queen's Triumph
In Matilda's terms 1141 is kind of her big year during all of that. She gets very close to being crowned in London and yet it all seems to fall apart. One reason why none of this worked was entirely due to the fact that she was female. This continued to you know dog her if you like when she had this great victory at Lincoln but because she was doing it on behalf of her captive husband this was all fine okay.
