Disco, Vaccines, and Crisis Fatigue

This chapter reflects on the vibrant disco era of the 70s while transitioning to contemporary issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, including concerns about elderly safety and community service. It explores the politicization of medicine and the impact of public discourse on vaccine trust, particularly within the Black community. Additionally, the chapter addresses the concept of crisis fatigue and the mental health challenges arising from ongoing societal pressures, emphasizing the need for individual empowerment and resilience.
