How to Think of New Words for Yourself

Travel is a word that comes up on every part of the test. I like using words like explore and take an adventure instead of saying travel. And also I like the expression to go on an excursion, right? Oh, that's fantastic. So this is vocab. You definitely have to explore. That is one of the synonyms. How would you define wander? The idea of walking slowly with no destination or time frame. Wandering seems more free to me.
