Why Did the United States Make This Change?
The United States is pausing on its funding for research that could pose a risk to public health. The move comes after three reported incidents of bio safety lapses in the past two years, including anthrax and smallpox exposure. "There's no humility here. There' no ampathy here," says former NIH director David Frum. 'They just want to do it anyway.'
