Azure API Management Is a Great Tool to Help You Understand How to Harden the Backend Services

Azure API management gave me such a pretty good because it actually does a lot of the heavy lifting for you so you can get educated on that but I think they do a terrible job of helping you understand how to harden the backend services when you do that. The other side too is is people don't understand things like incremental back-off retry logic and so what ends up happening is they just hammer on the thing oh it's not working it's not a 200 I'll just keep sending it and they're not realizing the 429 like they got to honor that stuff  and sometimes they expect the framework to do the work for them and and they don't always.
