The Panopticon Tent

This week I wrote about something called Panopticon tent, which has only been written about and was coined first by BuzzFeed News. It's basically a theory of like keeping everyone in check where there's a watchtower in the middle of a bunch of prison cells. Instead of us all being self-disciplined because we think that there's always a guard watching or the state watching, now it feels like we're always being watched by cameras and our phones. And it feels like maybe we should or do, or I don't know, start changing our behavior based on the idea that we're alwaysBeing watched by phones and filmed.
