The Best Returns in Life and Markets Are Lumpy
The best returns in life and markets are lumpy. What does that mean? I want straight line, Mr. Parker. It's worse than lumpy. You know, lumpy just means that you're not going to make one or two percent a month. And then you make a bunch kind of quickly, exactly the opposite of what people would like. This is a requirement. It's a characteristic. It's part of something that's good. But it doesn't have extended periods of bad performance. That was required in order to be in the top 10 percent after 20 or 30 years.
