The Machine Guns of the Second World War
The MG first 42 was the preeminent, preeminent small arms weapon of the Second World War. It's rate of fire is the thing that, that, 1400 rounds a minute. So very quickly, your barrel goes from kind of sort of hot to red hot to white hot. And if you look at kind of wartime instruction manuals, it's clearly verboten to fire for more than 250 rounds consecutively. But can't believe you did that. Really stupid. It's like reading Europe.
