What Is an Index?
An index is a table that has two columns um one column is going to point you to indicate it's the index finger that tells us where to go. And the other column has our key words. It's the thing that we look up. The funny thing is that that index was invented by monks about 800 years ago. So when i write a history of the the index, it sounds very nich o, but it's something that we definitely use pretty much all the time.
