The Odd Characteristics of Balaam

Balaam is not in Israelite, but he believes in Yahweh. He's a multifaceted character. Balaam has brought me Moab's king from the mountains of the east. Come curse Jacob for me and come denounce Israel. How shall I curse whom God has not cursed? It's more or less attributing great power and numbers to Israel. So what Balaam is set up for this enterprise is not to be able to do it because that's not within my power. And then we'll see at the end, as we'll see later on, how they get rid of him.
