Is the United States Going to Continue to Engage in Economic Espionage?
Under international law, there's no prohibition on espionage and exploitation of this sort m. The United States has a long announced policy of not engaging generally in economic espionage. We may engage in espionage of private firms if there's a national security justification. But as a general matter, we don't. That's not true of our adversaries.
