Is Good PR Like a Flood?
The CDC updated its recommendation guidelines for what counties should require masking or not introducing the community level system. The old map was basically just like because COVID transmission is so high it was practically an outline of the US filled in all red. Under the new guidelines the map immediately turned a discomforting shade of pastel green. And that's sort of I think it had the kind of effect you might expect it to have here which is that like you can no longer cover something quite as easily.
