In this hard-hitting conversation, Devon farmers Ben and Geoff recount how police initially agreed to allow tractors onto the UK Government’s roads of Whitehall during a recent day of action in London. After weeks of planning and farmers cooperating with authorities, the police cancelled the agreement at the very last minute.

Farmers who had agreed to abide by the rules, and trusted those in charge, were arrested. Their vehicles were impounded, and they had hefty fines issued.

The heavy-handed police response comes on top of subsidy withdrawals, inheritance tax changes, and a rise in farmer suicides across the UK. All of these are discussed in this thought-provoking and wide-ranging conversation.

The pair also discuss a wider picture around the state of UK farming. They see a global technocratic push to phase out small family farms in favour of corporate mega-farms, robotics, vertical farming, and land control through carbon markets and Agenda 2030 frameworks.

Farmers are being financially discouraged from producing food and instead encouraged to give land away to renewables or biodiversity schemes. Core British sectors like beef, lamb, and dairy are in danger of being phased out in favour of synthetic meat and other unnatural processed foods.

Despite the UK losing thousands of farms each year, these two South West England farmers say they’ll keep up the pressure on the UK Government, defend British food production, and resist the technocratic takeover of the nation’s food supply.
