The CIA's Theory of a Mass Suicide

This theory goes beyond the events of the day and questions why, even if Jones didn't force his congregation to die at gunpoint. I find this the most plausible so far, though maybe not every detail of it. It also deflects some of the blame from the State Department for allowing so many citizens to be murdered on foreign soil.
