How to Treat an LCL Injury of the Knee
Patients with an LCL injury of the knee will have hyper extension or varus thruskate, also known as a lateral thruskate. On neurovascular exam, common perineal nerve injuries may occur with LCL slash postural lateral corner injuries. Treatment of LCL injuries of the knee can be nonoperative or operative. Nonoperative management includes limited immobilization, progressive range motion and functional rehabilitation.
