How Do You Define Pipe Line?

Marketing team exceeded their pipe line target by a hundred and 61 % last quarter, and our sales team misquota by more than 50%. And so i want to talk through what i did. The only thing that's going on is that marketing is optimizing for a leading metric. Its either m cels, s cls, poorly defined pipe line, or something s that doesn't actually translate to the lagging metric of ravin.
