What Metrics Give You Confidence in Your Strategy?
When we came up with a concept of trend stat in the day, we were trying to figure out whether it added value or not. One of the questions was, what do you do when your strategy is not working? To me, as long as if you looked at the data of the last couple months of market, let's say, and you said, based on the strategy and the way I set my strategy up, I would have expected my strategy to have a difficult period in the last two months. Well, then it's not broken, don't fix it. Just let it keep going! Good times are somewhere in the future, probably. Tom will be doing some handstands
