How to Break Up Your Long Run
Make sure you have access to fluids. Splashing your face with water and taking a sip of water does not screw up the run at all. You don't lose fitness from that. So this is one of those things that you can do to kind of break up your long run. It doesn't mean I always have to stop and use them, but it really does help knowing if need be I have access to them.
