The Importance of Caring for Widows

I think we all have a general sense of vague notion that the Bible talks about widows and places some kind of special emphasis on widows. So I wonder if you could just, are there a couple of passages that come to mind that really stand out as good summary of what the Bible actually teaches us about caring for widows. Yeah, good question. There's just a general theme in the Old New Testament towards caring for the widow and the orphan. And yet I think it's one of the most neglected groups in all the local church in the modern day. Hmm.
