The Primal Parisilla in Genesis Three, Eight
The voice of the Lord is used in a whole host of places in the Old Testament. The majority of those references come in the particular context of the giving of the covenant. It especially comes in the context of Mount Sinai as the Lord is thundering forth and giving forth his word that must be obeyed. And so I think even here in Genesis three, eight, the theophonic and the covenantal aspects are working together to show the Lord coming forth in his glory as judge.
