His most recent book, "The Price of Time: The Real Story of Interest," has been longlisted for the FT Business Book of the Year. He is also the author of the New York Times notable book "Devil Take the Hindmost: A History of Financial Speculation," which has been translated into more than a dozen languages, and is a recipient of the George Polk Award for financial reporting.
