Raskolnikov, 'You Are Just the Man I Want'

Raskolnikov saw a girl in rags on the street and followed her. She was hopelessly drunk, not knowing what she was doing. A gentleman who looked like he wanted to get hold of her stopped him. He said: 'What do you want? Who are you?' The man replied: 'I am just the man I want' But at that instant someone seized him from behind with a police constable standing between them. They were separated by 20 copacs which Roscolnikov put into his pocket.
