The History of the Polish Embassy in Switzerland
In 1940, the Polish embassy in Switzerland was already involved with assisting refugees. They were negotiating on their behalf and setting up all sorts of networks to help those prisoners. And then increasingly through late 4041, you're getting requests from Polish Jews who are looking for a way out. So they came to the Polish legation in Switzerland saying, can we do the same thing?
