Kotlin: The Removal of Things You Don't Need

One of the things that I've liked a lot about Kotlin is the removal of things that you don't absolutely need. It's like, why should I have to tell the compiler this information? Right. The whole point of a higher level language is that you don’t have to do that low level bookkeeping.
