The War Museum and the Men Who Made a Difference
The men were so welcoming, and they were so wanted to tell their story. They're all different types - you get jolly jockey types, serious people,. You've got religious types, you've got sweary types. So there's all types that were minors, people long-distance, lorry drivers. There was all sorts, and they all tried their best. And I love the fact that you get different people talking about the same instant. It's a wonderful experience. Is it all true? I don't know. But what we went for by is balance of probability. Why would they lie? Do it fit with the war diary? Does it fit with other accounts?
