There weren't a huge number of peers that you could bounce ideas off. Today there's a much wider network and people are connected on the internet. They can reach out to you at FAQs but there was no FAQs for you back then. I took Doncian's work and he had a letter that he would publish every week. He would publish a letter which would have his rules on it and it would also have a model account. The idea was you would follow along and you would place your orders with him.
