i wonder if you could give us a sense and an over view of the four people that you're writing about. The four journalists in your at the heart of the book are four journalists. John gunther, Vincent sheen, Dorothy thompson and h r knickerbocker. They moved away from detachment to what we now call really engaged journalism. So they took sides, and they found it impossible not to take sides. And this was something that distinguished them from british arters.
