Why People Code Switch
Many people switch languages or use colloquialisms, words or phrases to express specific ideas. People will also code switch when reporting what another person said to them in the other language. There are many more reasons and ways people code switch than those we just discussed. Some people think it sign that the speaker doesn't know either language very well.
