The Paranoia of Tom Hardy and the MGB

The film is a terrible adaptation of the book. It loses 90% of what makes the book work. Gary Oldman turns up halfway through but doesn't have any obvious role and then kind of disappears again. And the Russian accents, I think, on one hand, yes, they mean that Numi Rapace and Van Sankassel are speaking in the same way that everybody else is. But that just means they all sound wrong. Sure. Anyway, so it would be a two stars from us.
