The Tree of Life

God has created us to be those who cannot survive without food and drink which comes from outside of us. So when your kids tell you they're hungry or when you yourself are hungry, you're expressing part of what it means to be a creature of God. And this is the way that God made even Adam and Eve. This is not a condition of being sinners. From the very beginning, we were created as those who receive life in terms of food and drink from God from something outside of ourselves.
