What Happened With the Enlightenment?

I think that what happened with what we call the enlightenment was the advent of an aristocracy of ideas instead of a marketplace of ideas, or maybe it's more like a mercantil system. So you had to have somebody filter out because you can't just publish anything. You still have to filter it somehow. But the filtering now is I follow who I want to follow speech, not freedom of reach kind of algorithmic. Well, there are algorithms that zone like let's take that off the table for a second. Because that's just the way the new new high-tech way they're trying to reassert the aristocratry of ideas. And then all of a sudden the internet started
