The Importance of Researching a Thing
When I did Mind Over Matter for Private Year Press, I was writing an iron kingdom that's their setting. And so I had to go and start researching 19th century medicine. coal tar was used as an aniseptic. This goes back to what I was saying earlier about how they inform each other. Your world building and your story are constantly playing off of each other.
