The History of the Conventions
The history of the conventions is complicated, not just because there's so many different issues they cover and that there are four different treaties with common articles. Some of these issues are quite connected, other issues are quite distinct and working kind of autonomously. What I tried to do in the book is to write a comparative and entangled history of the convention of return to the original documents, meaning archives. So basically those provisions and ideas and concepts defined the scope of these trees.
