The Name Theology of the Old Testament
The name theology of the Old Testament is simply stated this way. There are certain passages where instead of referring to God either with the divine name Yahweh or with Hallehem, God or something like that, God will be referred to as Hashem, the name. So it's what scholars call a circumlocution. In other words, a way around speaking directly the actual name of God and just using a substitute, thename.
