What Happens When You Have Mass Unemployment?
Tresheux kept interest rate high and thereby exacerbated the crisis. He also artificially engineered this massive recession, which plunged large parts of certain Southern Europe into mass unemployment. The effects are not just exclusively European and they don't just pertain to the periphery. So Tresheux's refusal also leads to massive crisis on these international markets.
