The bank has embedded itself in the process of state finance but rather more reluctantly in theprocess of managing the economy. A very long period of time there are commentators who are asking the bank to be the entity that kind of supports the economy and smooths out panics and crises. The bank is resistant because that would imply that it would throw its own good money after bad.
