Curtis: The media has the power to influence discourse on the far left. But I think it's quite limited in terms of what it can turn into from like a real world point of view. Russell: Most of the power is what you might call low frequency rather than high frequency power. He says that certainly in the 20th century, the American left has always been movement of the elites and whatever like client groups they could scrape together.
