There were only about 10 or 15 items on this several hundred thousand dollar church budget, which was a lot for those days. So there was one of the dedicated members stood up in the congregational meeting and said, you know, I just want to say this doesn't seem to be very forthcoming,. And then the leader really publicly humiliated him. But most of us were too way too cowardly to be able to say no way to me. That really was that was the beginning of the end.
