The Politics of Public Higher Education
The last distinguished public institutions, they really want to put the squeeze on. There's a metastasy of the upper level administration where they're constantly hiring lawyers and corporate people who know nothing about higher education. So I think that the shift in governance has largely ended now. And it's being run by MBAs and corporatepeople who are not interested in higher education. They really see it as an opportunity for a market and for them to get high paid jobs.
