Legalism is a formal rejection of the use of the Old Testament law in any sense. Legalism can also be someone who rejects the application of the New Testament moral instruction. The answer to the wrong use of money is the gospel, not using money rightly. That's works righteousness. Jesus use money rightly on your behalf. And so I don't have to do that.
